Unknown persons damage windows, other things of Masjid in Sopore | KNO

Sopore, December 14 (KNO) : Unknown persons probably the burglars in the intervening night of Thursday-Friday stroked a local Masjid in Mareezgund village of Sopore north Kashmir and damaged windows and other things. Reports said that a local mosque at Mazarigund area of Sopore was damaged by unknown persons during Thursday night, adding that many things including windows were damaged after a group of unknown persons had entered inside a Masjid during night hours.Soon after this news spread in the area, people including men and women took to the streets to register a protest against the act. The protestors blocked Watergam-Sopore road, which resulted in traffic mess in the area. Police official told KNO that they didn’t receive any complaint in this regard but a team of police will be sent to the area to investigate the matter.(KNO)
